I had a Losi 8ight nitro and converted to electric using the EZ-RUN 150A ESC & Motor combo, paid $180 shipped for this ESC/motor so it was by far the cheapest setup out there and I was worried it would not perform with the Feigao/Neu setups...I was wrong. Using a cheap Zippy 5000mah 4S lipo from hobbycity . com ($75) and the Tekno conversion with the 2 piece clutch setup this buggy rips and clears the quad jump most of the nitro's at the track can't and even some electrics can't.
This ESC is huge and you cannot use the tray that came with the tekno kit. I drilled 2 holes in the chassis and mounted the ESC using small screws and nylock nuts.
The distance from the ESC infront of the battery to the back of the motor is long requiring about 5" of 10 AWG wire to connect them.
My Airtronics M8 does not do servo mixing so I had to buy a buffered servo Y harness from TeknoRC. This allowed the brake servo to work with the ESC.
All in all the TeknoRC with the EZ-RUN ESC/Motor and clutch has been an outstanding combination for a suprisingly inexpensive price.
